Simple Tip Calculator at simpletipcalculator.com is operated by DPI Worldwide, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the site.

Your calculations stay in your browser

Bill amounts, tip percentages, tips, and totals are calculated in your browser. We do not send those values to our servers or save them in cookies or local storage. No account is needed. The Share button shares only the calculator’s title and website link, never your calculation values.

For offline use, your browser saves copies of the website’s files on your device. This cache does not contain your bill or tip values. You can remove these files through your browser’s website-data settings.

Information used to operate the site

Vercel hosts the website, and Cloudflare provides DNS services. Infrastructure providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages, and request times to deliver the site, maintain logs, and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We do not display ads or add advertising pixels.

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources, devices, and general use of the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers and processes technical and usage information under the Google Privacy Policy. These cookies can recognize a browser across visits.

Our tag uses page titles and website addresses without query strings or fragments, and only the referring website’s origin. We do not send bill amounts, tip percentages, tips, or totals to Analytics or add tracking to calculator controls. Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals are disabled in our tag configuration.

Analytics loads automatically on our public website when a connection is available; this site does not display a cookie-consent popup. Offline calculations do not require Analytics, and we do not save offline calculation activity for later transmission. Browser settings, tracking protection, or ad blockers may prevent measurement.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported. Blocking Analytics does not prevent use of the calculator. Google manages analytics data under its policies and the retention settings of our Analytics property.

Messages and optional support

If you contact us, we receive the contact details and message you provide and use them to respond and maintain appropriate business records. Please do not send sensitive financial information.

The optional “Buy me a coffee” link opens an external page. It does not load a payment widget on this site. Buy Me a Coffee and its payment providers, including Stripe, handle payments under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive complete payment card numbers, but may receive supporter details such as a name, email address, message, payment amount, and transaction status. We use these to acknowledge support, respond to questions, and keep accounting records.

Review the Buy Me a Coffee Privacy Policy and Stripe Privacy Policy before providing information. Other external websites and sharing services have their own privacy practices.

Retention, security, and your choices

We keep correspondence and support records only as long as reasonably needed to respond, operate our business, resolve disputes, or meet legal and tax requirements. Infrastructure providers manage their own technical records. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where providers operate.

We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee complete security. We may disclose information to service providers assisting us, as required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights and security. Where applicable, we process information to provide requested services, pursue legitimate business and security interests, meet legal obligations, or with consent.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your personal information, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Contact us below; we may need to verify your identity, and legal exceptions may apply. You may also contact your local data-protection authority. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; contact us if you believe a child has provided it.
